Lars Mikkelsen

Lars MikkelsenHe enrolled in the National Theatre School of Denmark at the age of 27. He graduated in 1995. Apart from his role as the lead actor in The Killing and lead actor, he was also a part of two other internationally popular Danish dramas: Those Who Kill, and Borgen III. He also was in the episodes of BBC drama Sherlock as Charles Augustus Magnussen (blackmailer). He played Russia's president on the American television show House of Cards. He was awarded an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his performance in the Danish TV drama Herrens Veje, which was shown in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm. In addition to his mother tongue Danish, Mikkelsen speaks fluent Swedish, German and English, and he has mastered different accents. He claims that he and his brother initially began to learn English by listening to Monty Python records and learning the comedy sketches
